When
I was a kid growing up, I took a bath in a number 2 or 3 wash tub. We
never had what you call a bath tub till I was almost twelve years
old. Back to the old wash tub, it would be in the back end of the
hall. No hot water, so you draw two buckets of water pour in a dish
pan and get hot on a wood heater. Have one bucket cold water, pour
all in wash tub, bath ready. Don't forget the octagon soap. Oh
privacy, that was easy. Nail a piece of clothes line wire from wall
to wall and clothes pin a bed sheet on it. I have several old wash
tubs, and all four of my granddaughters have bathed in one. Just so
they would know what it was like. And I still don't like change.
