Cleaning Out Your Phone Line..,

What happens when you have several children together in the middle of summer and run out of things to do?

Well we knew that we would be visiting some of my mothers friends on Wednesday every week and one lady in that we would be visiting was very particular about having a very clean house. (she didn't have children)

We had gotten with a friend to have them call her house on the Wednesday that we would be there for our visit at 10:00 a.m.. After setting up the time for our friend to call this lady we called the ladies house on Tuesday evening and said that we were the cleaning crew for the Phone Company and that on Wednesday morning around 10:00 a,m, we would be blowing out the phone lines, and if she didn't want to get any dirt in her house she needed to wrap up her phone. We suggested that she put her phone in a bag and put something heavy on it to make sure that no dirt escaped.

On Wednesday morning we were overly excited to go on these visit's with our mother. After we were there for a few minutes the phone started to ring, it must have rang about five times before my mother said, "That must be an important call go ahead and answer it we don't mind." The lady said that's ok they will call me back later. The phone continued to ring and finally the lady looked at my mother and exclaimed that the Phone Company had called about blowing out the line, and why she couldn't answer the phone.

I don't know about you but we got that look from our mother and we just knew that the fun was over and the pain was shortly coming.

After apologies were made to the lady, we all received chores that we would do for the lady for one month for our misbehavior.
